WSC104 - Birthday Wishes

Hello! I feel like I haven't "seen" you guys in FOREVER! :) I was busy this week chasing all of this Hallween nonsense...you know how it goes! And I don't even have KIDS! :)

I made this quick card for Beate's weekend sketch challenge. I wanted something fairly simple to get me back into the vibe of stamping. I used my new favorite set, Giga Guidelines, along with some PTI raspberry fizz ribbons for the main image.

I hope you have a great evening trick or treating! :)

MTSC45 - Merry Christmas

I don't know about you, but I'm starting to get in the Christmas spirit, and it's only October! I think it's the unseasonably cold weather we've had this year (BTW, what's up with the global warming.......I'm waiting........lol). Before you know it, Thanksgiving will be here and it will be time to put up the Christmas tree and decorations...I can't wait! :)

This card is for Mercy's Tuesday sketch challenge...another awesome sketch this week - I might add! Be sure to check out what the rest of the Muses did this week, and check out Mercy's blog for the sketch!

TESC88, TSG25 - Live Laugh Love

Hello! I'm stopping in quick to show you a card that I made for this week's sketch challenge over at Taylor's blog and for the There She Goes challenge which was to do dry embossing. I used my Scor-Pal to dry emboss on the dusty durango panel.

For this card, I used one of my favorite sets from There She Goes called Act of Kindness. I thought I'd give the card a fall-ish look with rustic wood buttons and color combination. I sort of cheated and used ribbon and I don't think the sketch really called for it...but I couldn't possibly leave it off! :)

Thanks for stopping by and I'll see you soon!

Stamps: Acts of Kindness - There She Goes
Paper: PTI white, soft suede, kraft, dusty durango

Raspberry Suite Color Challenge #18

Hey friends! I made this quick card for Dawn's Raspberry Suite color challenge. The colors were vintage cream, chocolate, kraft, raspberry fizz, and new leaf. I LOVE these colors together and I couldn't wait to use my new Giga Guidelines set for the challenge! It's been raining cats and dogs here in MN now for what seems like weeks, so I pulled out my Scattered Showers and Scattered Showers Additions sets.

I hope you are having a great week so far! Tomorrow is Friday and THAT is something to be grateful for! ;)

SFYTT, TSG23 - Treemendous

Hello again! I'm stamping and I can't stop! :) This is always the way it goes, I guess.

I made this quick card for Jen's sketch for you to try (did you see she's having a giveaway this week?) and the TSG challenge hosted by Jessie to create a monochromatic card. I used the super adorable mini set called Treemendous and of course used browns as my color of choice.

I hope you are enjoying your weekend...I have a TON more cards to share later! :) TTYL!

WSC101 - Sleigh Ride

Hello! Yes, I FINALLY stamped! It felt so great to sit down and stamp something without it turning out like a two-year-old's creation! LOL! Phew...for awhile there I was getting worried!

Today I have a preview of a new set from the Petal Press called Sleigh Ride. This set will be available at iheartpapers on October 16th. It's similar to the Happy Harvest set that was released last month in that you can mix and match the top on the sleigh! It's adorable!! This topper features pines and ornaments. :)

Thanks for stopping by...and hopefully I will be back very soon with more creations! :)

MTSC42 - Button Bicycle

Hi! Tuesday brings another fabulous sketch by Mercy. I'm still in a funk, but I decided to spare you all from another butterfly card and instead opted for an easy bicycle card using Everyday Button Bits. I kept the color scheme very simple by using just vanilla and black. :) Easy...even though I contemplated for the better part of an hour about whether or not to add a sentiment...LOL. Obviously I decided not to, but that was because I finally got sick of arguing with myself! ;)

I hope you get a chance to head over to Mercy's blog and check out the sketch this week! Also, check out the rest of the samples by the Muses...

And please welcome...drumroll please.......October guest designer SILKE LEDLOW! :)

CAS35 - Feel Better

Hello! Happy Monday, Stampers! Boy, I was really in a stamping slump the last couple of days...it must've been all those preview cards I made last week. :) Did you get a chance to check out the Christmas releases at Little Paper Shop? They are adorable...

I made this card for today's clean and simple challenge on Splitcoast. When I'm really in a funk, these challenges always get my mind working. I absolutely LOVE this week's challenge, which was an inspiration challenge. I chose this floral frame pillow as my inspiration.

I hope you're having a good week so far...tomorrow I get to go shopping for Halloween costumes for the office...DON'T ASK. LOL!

Stamps: Everyday Button Bits - Papertrey Ink
Paper: PTI vintage cream, ripe avocado, melon mambo, Cherry Hill (Cosmo Cricket)

Release Day!

Hello! I'm so exicted for today for a couple of reasons...one, it's World Cardmaking Day and I intend on celebrating this holiday...two, it's release day at Little Paper Shop! I'm so excited that all the Christmas sets we've been previewing this week are available NOW on their website. :) Plus, all sets are 10% off for the first week...see the blog for details!

We have a lot of giveaways today as well...one lucky participant will win the entire release! Be sure to check out the Little Paper Shop blog for details! I made this card using the new Merry & Bright set. Our challenge was to use non-traditional Christmas colors to create a holiday card. :) So I cheated a little and used red, but the raspberry fizz should off-set that! :)

Have a great day...and be sure to check back later to see all my WCMD festive cards.

TESC84, TSG22 - Spooky Silhouette

I can't believe how fast I got my order from There She Goes. Halloween cards are my absolute favorite cards to make, so when I saw Spooktacular Silhouettes released, I knew I had to have it! This card is for Taylor's sketch challenge this week and the challenge on the There She Goes blog to make a spooky card using the cracked glass technique. It's been awhile since I've done this technique, and after I scraped the last of the melted UTEE off my fingers, I was good to go! :)

Be sure to check back tomorrow for another preview from Little Paper Shop!

Christmas Tags

Hello! Happy Thursday! We are one day closer to Friday! WOOHOO! :)

Today, I'm bringing you a preview of a new Christmas set that will be available at Little Paper Shop this Saturday, October 3rd. The set is called Christmas Tags, and I think it's traditional use is for an accessory to Christmas bakery items, etc...which you will be seeing me sample this set in that fashion SOON. :)

This probably won't come as a shock to many, but I do not make my own Christmas cards. I don't know why, I don't even send out Christmas cards hardly at all. I send out a few to good friends and family but that's about it. I spend my holiday card energy making my mom's Christmas cards. I do it for her every year...and she is SO demanding! LOL! She started asking me around Labor Day where her Christmas card design was...then I had to politely tell her that I haven't even seen all the Christmas sets yet this year and she would have to wait. Anyways, the point is that I'm all about something easily replicable for holiday cards, and I think she will REALLY like this one.

Be sure to check out the Little Paper Shop blog to see the rest of the design team's samples and for your chance to WIN this set!
